Cassandra Celestin (b. 1990) is a filmmaker, lens-based artist, and curator whose work draws on object-based inquiry and techniques from historical, archaeological, and material culture research. Her work focuses on the built environments and other physical traces of past individuals and communities that often go unnoticed, especially small things from the domestic and trade spheres. She received an MA from Bard Graduate Center in New York in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture and is co-founder of the Syros International Film Festival in Greece where she also initiated the Alternate Paths public workshop and artist residency.

Cassandra’s films have screened at festivals and art events around the world, including Edinburgh International Film Festival (Black Box), Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival, FRACTO, Les Inattendus, London Short Film Festival, Rockaway Film Festival, and Athens International Film and Video Festival.
